Yet another very busy week in Year 3!
A BIG THANK YOU again to Asel, Steven and Hamideh for a fascinating Crystal Garden Activity, which was good fun and taught us a lot! Our Climate Change Walk was also enjoyable and very informative - many thanks to Sarah. We had a delightful trip to the Museum of Bath at Work, and, as ever, the children did us proud. We learnt a lot about many aspects of WW2 Life, by taking a very interesting tour of the museum, and creating a WW2 improvised drama, complete with character costumes. Who knew we had so many thespians in Year 3?! In English, our second Wishing Tale is very close to completion, and in Maths we have been perfecting our Addition methods and choice of strategy. In Science, we are observing and sketching Plants. In Topic, we are heading round to the Ralph Allen Cornerstone to learn about Combe Down in WW2. Many thanks again to all Swimming Helpers and Trip Helpers - you are total stars! Do please keep signing up!
Next week in English, we will be looking at Recounts. In Maths, we will be revisiting Subtraction in its various forms, and in Science, we will continue to look at Plants. In Topic, we will be creating Persuasive Posters on a WW2 theme.
STOP PRESS! WE HOPE TO HAVE OUR SECOND STAY AND LEARN ON THURSDAY 19th JULY AT 2.30PM, SO DO PLEASE SAVE THE DATE IF YOU CAN. ALL WELCOME - COME AND JOIN US! ALSO, DO BRING YOUR CREATIVE PROJECT INTO SCHOOL BEFORE THIS DATE, SO THEY CAN BE DISPLAYED AT THE STAY AND LEARN. WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING THESE!
A big thank you once again also for supporting the children with Abacus Games, Rockstars Activities, Nessy, Spellings and Reading. Your help continues to be much appreciated.
We hope you have a great week,
The Year 3 Team
