Challenge

We have now concluded our detailed discussions on challenge, and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) have been informed of the issues raised and will consider them in detail.

Protocols

The Parent Forum is in its early stages, and we are still bedding in the processes.  We therefore felt it timely to clarify our role.

The Parent Forum canvasses views to better inform the school.  Our role is to ensure the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) are aware of these views and can take them into consideration.

The Forum continues to develop mechanisms for consulting on, and receiving feedback on the topics raised by parents across the school.

The Playground

Further to our canvassing on the topic of challenge, the second topic to be addressed by the Forum is the playground and playtimes.

Given the timescales, we would like to receive comments on the following by email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or in writing, addressed to the Parent Forum and given to the office, by Wednesday 7th December:

  • Within the constraints of the school site how could playtimes be improved?

If you have a concern about your individual child in relation to the playground, please see your class teacher in the first instance to discuss.

Other News

The school has worked really hard over the last year to make the new Parent Evening format as helpful as possible for parents, including a checklist of items to be covered for every child, and a progress chart for every parent to assess their child’s development against.

The Website is now updated every week for every year group which will include what the year group have been doing that week, and any homework where relevant.

As a collective group (school representatives and parents), we are pleased with how the group is forming and positive about how it will enhance communication between stakeholders.

Anyone can attend the Parent Forum; however, we will need to keep to the agreed agenda for each meeting.  This will be put on the Parent Forum section of the website.
