News from Foundation Stage

Thank you to everybody who made it to The Chinese New Year assembly on Tuesday.
Future Dates:
7th February (3.30pm start) - Reading Q and A to help with all those niggling reading questions you may have to get your child to the next reading level. Please note this is an open forum to ask questions, with a small powerpoint introducion from us.
20th February (2.45pm start) - Pancake day races (all welcome meet on the Green)
W/B 20th February - Parent/Teacher Interviews
15th March 2012 (9.15am start) - Mothers Day assembly
Parent/Teacher Interviews
The sign up sheet for the February interviews will appear for the first time at the Reading meeting this Tuesday. Please come along and sign up please.
This last week of term....
We will be looking at who is getting The Underwater certificate for reading all the words on the dinosaur.
We will look at Jack at the Beanstalk as our final book in our stories topic.

This Week
This week we will be continuing our work on Chinese New Year. This week we will look at Willow Patterns and dragons!
Don't forget our parent assembly at 2.45 on Tuesday. Please wait outside the hall. We want to share with you our learning around Chinese New Year.
Our Trip
Thank you to all our parents who helped on our Museum trip. It was a great visit! You will see the pictures from the Museum at the parent assembly on Tuesday.
Reading
We are starting this week our reading assessments of your child to move them up a book colour (perhaps!). We will also be asking the children whether they can read the keywords on the duck and the dinosaur to see if they can reach our "Underwater Challenge".
We will be holding a reading Question and Answer session on Tuesday 7th Feb at 3.30pm. This is an open opportunity for you to come and ask us any question you might have about reading. This will replace the previously advertised session at 7pm on that evening. During the Q and A we will give you advice and ideas to push the children further in their reading progress.
Parent Evenings
Parents Evening for the RW and RJ is being held on Monday 20th, Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd February 2012. Monday and Tuesday will see the 3.20-4.30 session, while the Wednesday session will be the 3.30-5.30 one.
