Year 1 WB 16.1.12

This week we have been learning about time and the children have made their own clocks. We have sequenced activities that we do each day and introduced the children to 'half past'. Enjoy the prompts your children will give you at different times of the day for their homework this week!

The children have turned the familiar 'We're going on a bear hunt' story into ' We're going on a penguin hunt', using sounds they might hear in the polar region. We were also really enthusiastic in RE this week, sharing our feelings about our wonderful world!

Next week we visit Bristol Zoo and we will be recounting our experiences in literacy. In numeracy we will be introducing directional and positional language so that the children can accurately follow instructinons.

If you would be interested in coming on any of our future trips, please collect a CRB form from the office. It takes a few weeks to process and so needs to be done in advance. We appreciate our parent support on these trips and don't like having to turn help down.
