Happy New Year!

We have had an action packed week to start off our new year.

Our topic this term is 'Under the Sea'.

We are going to choose our favourite underwater animal and write and information booklet about that animal.  We have started to think about what animal we can research in our ICT lessons, using websites to find out which animals live in the ocean.

We have worked toegther to come up with a range of different animals and have began to think about what questions we could ask to help us write our animal report.

We had some great questions like;

What does a shark eat? Why do whales migrate? Do dolphins fall in love? What is a food chain?

In Numeracy we have been learning to tell the time on an anologue and digital clock. Practice this at home.

We have also been using and applying our mental maths skills using the 2 and 5 times tables.

Our Art project this term focuses on making our very own underwater creature, this week we have designed our underwater creature and thought about how we can make it.  We have had some wierd and wonderful designs of eels, whales, octopi, dolpins, jellyfish and many more!

Happy New Year!
