Richard Bullard

Head Teacher/Assessment Coordinator

Mr Bullard joined Combe Down Primary in January 2007 after being the Head Teacher at High Littleton CEVC Primary for four years. He has taught in the Bath area for many years and is well known and liked throughout the teaching community. Since his arrival at the school, Mr Bullard has worked hard to ensure that Combe Down has an effective Open Door policy, and also to bring together the different parts of the school family.

It is clear that Mr Bullard enjoys sport, and leading the School's Hockey and Year 3/4 Football Clubs, as well as being involved in a local hockey club, keeps him busy during the afternoons and weekends. He's not so hot on a bicycle though - falling off in front of a hundred people once was more than a little embarrassing!

A Geographer at heart, Mr Bullard enjoys being out and about, walking with a map in one hand and compass or river-dipping net in the other. He is married with three children.

Katherine Schofield

Deputy Head Teacher

Mrs Schofield has worked at Combe Down Primary for over five years, teaching in Reception, Year 1 and Year 6. Over the past few years she has been our full time Deputy Head working hard to help lead the School. She is currently supports all Curriculum areas. Before joining us she lived and worked in London, where she taught in inner city schools, along with a period of teaching in Bihar, India.

Mrs Schofield loves working with children and has two daughters of her own. Together they enjoy travelling - anywhere with beautiful settings, long walks and places for swimming!

You may not realise that Mrs Schofield is also a bit of a singer on the quiet, so listen out for her during assembly time...

Julie Skailes

Finance Officer

Mrs Skailes works in the Log Cabin and looks after the School's finances. She is excellent at ensuring that the many school systems and structures work efficiently. All the resources and items that we use each day in school have probably been ordered by Mrs Skailes. To assist her in her role, Mrs Skailes is studying for a qualification in School Business Management.

Mrs Skailes thoroughly enjoys running and also has her own card business. She has two daughters, one of whom is at Combe Down.
