This Week's News!

Back
21 October 2022

So much has happened this term; the sadness of the death of Queen Elizabeth, harvest services, school visits, explorer dome, discos, open days, sporting events, mental health day activities culminating in singing to everyone. It was great to see parents engaging with teachers this week during parent meetings.

Thank you to all the parents and staff who made the disco possible for the children last week. What a lovely sight it was - I’ve not done the Hokey Cokey for years but had the chance to join in with reception children before leaving to attend a trust board meeting.

Thank you to those who have completed the trust questionnaire which was circulated this week. Please do take the time to respond. The school can access the school level data which is very helpful to us in continuing to move forwards. The deadline for completion is Friday 11th November. You can use the link here.

As you know, from term 2 I will be taking on the new role across the trust for two days per week and Mrs Bird and I will share the co-head role. Following a rigorous interview last week, Mr O’Neill was appointed as Assistant Head teacher from term 2. Over the next term the days that I am on site will vary due to events that are already in the diary. However, from Term 3 the days I will be working for the trust will be Wednesdays and Thursdays.

As we approach the end of term, I want to thank all of you for your continued support and encouragement.

I hope you manage to spend some time with family and friends over the half-term break. We look forward to welcoming you back to school on Monday 31st October for another term of learning together.
