Y3 Walking Tour of Bath

29 June 2022 08:45 - 15:00 Bath City Centre

For our final educational experience of the academic year, we are delighted to be heading into Bath on Wednesday 29th June for a walk around to learn more about the city we live in!

We will take a coach down to the Holburne Museum and walk from there along Great Pulteney Street towards the Abbey.  The children will be split into 3 groups, with one of the activities being a short guided tour of the Abbey.

After visiting the city centre we will make our way through the Circus, Royal Crescent and finally to Victoria Park. The coach will collect us from here to bring us back to school for the end of the school day.

The day will consist of a range of fun activities around the city, including sketching, photography and a scavenger hunt!

In order for the trip to run, we are asking for a voluntary contribution of £9.70 per child for the coach travel, Abbey tour and Bath bun! The costs are based on all children in the year group going on the trip. If there are not enough contributions to make the trip viable then it may be necessary to cancel.

If you are not able to afford the full cost of the trip, we would appreciate part-payment (this can be done on ParentMail).

Please bring your child to school as normal for a punctual start of the school day, as we will leave straight after registration.

Much of this trip will be spent outdoors whatever the weather, so please can children come with clothes suitable for the weather (rain or shine) and we suggest trainers with school uniform as we will be walking a long way.

Your child will need a packed lunch including a re-sealable drink (water bottle) for the day (no fizzy drinks, glass bottles or cans please) - you can order a packed lunch for children eligible for Free School Meals. Your child will also need a drink and fruit/vegetable snack as normal for break time.

We will be walking quite far so please do not over-pack your bag!

PLEASE PAY AND GIVE CONSENT ONLINE (USING PARENTMAIL) by Friday 17th June 2022. If you have any queries please chat to your child’s teacher at school drop off/pick up.

Kind regards, Miss Bush, Mrs King and Mrs Seager
