All about Clubs at Combe Down
At Combe Down School we want to give everyone the opportunity to join a club - so we've provided lots to choose from!
Most clubs get filled up very quickly each September and with a wide variety from Gym to Computers and Chess to Ukulele, it's not surprising! We aim to cater for everyone's likes and enjoyment, but if there is a club that you would like to see happening in the school and it isn't already being run why don't you suggest it to one of the teachers?

We will meet on Wednesdays – straight after school until 4.15pm – room tbc.
Run by Claire Morrish Children’s Minister at Holy Trinity Church.

Please note that paid clubs are organised by outside providers. The school helps facilitate these clubs and provides facilities, however, organisers are responsible for all paperwork, collation of data and advising parents/carers about the dates of sessions. Not all clubs run each week: please keep the letter from the club provider detailing the dates the club runs, and ensure you collect your child from school at 3.15pm if their club is not on.

Get Sported – May 29-31st Summer 31st Jul- 3rd Aug, 7th-10th Aug, 14th-17th Aug
GET Sported: Multi Sport Day Camps, ages 5-12 years. Enjoy Football, Cricket, Rugby, Basketball, Hockey and many more sports! Also large inflatables day, water games day, pizza day, prizes, awards, Get Exploring in the local woods and so many more activities.
Get Serious Cricket: for age 7-12. Our cricket camps offer hard ball and soft ball skills sessions with competitions and games including our legendary ‘T20’s’ and ‘Test Match’. Suitable for beginners through to advanced and county players.
Get Serious Football: Also for age 7-12. Our football camp offers technical and tactical coaching, skill sessions, championships and matches.
Learn / improve your sports skills with great coaching. Develop your character & confidence through activities & team talk discussions based upon Christian values and centred around our themed curriculum. It's fun, exciting & action packed!
Times: 9.00 - 4pm
Registration from 9.15am (Pre-care £3 from 8.30-9am, after-care from 4-5am £3 or both for £5)

Spotters Hockey August 2018 Camp will be running 9am -2pm on 22nd and 23rd August 2018 at Beechen Cliff School for hockey players ages between the ages of 7 and 15 years old. The camp provides high quality, fun and enjoyable coaching with skilled based sessions designed to improve your child's hockey skills whatever their ability. The camp utilises proven, research based techniques and treats your child as an individual, increasing their knowledge of hockey and boosting game awareness. Also running is the Spotters High Performance camp, attendance at which is free when booking on the main camp. All great preparation for the Hockey season starting in September!
These camps are normally very popular and offer excellent coaching at a low cost; there is a discount if you book before 11 July 2018, with the discounted cost from just £22.50 per day; there are limited spaces on this occasion, so please book early to secure a place for your child.
