A founding member of the Palladian Academy Trust, Combe Down Primary School is a popular fourteen class community school that serves Combe Down and the surrounding suburbs of Bath. Combe Down was deemed as ‘Good’ in its recent OFSTED inspection and currently has 409 children on roll. Combe Down Church of England Primary School is seeking to appoint a talented, enthusiastic and well-motivated full-time teacher. excellent knowledge of the curriculum; significant experience of teaching children including those with SEND; possess high quality teaching skills, along with good communication and teamwork skills and demonstrate a desire to support continuous school improvement and their own professional development.

SEN Teaching Assistant, SCP Grade 5 – 6, £19,650 - £20,043 (pro-rata), 15.75 hours – Wed and Thurs 8.45am-3.15pm and Fri 8.45-12.15pm

Combe Down Primary School are looking to recruit a SEND Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 4 with an Education, Health Care Plan. We are looking for a warm, caring individual who can offer an exceptional level of care and foster the child’s independence. Experience of working with children who have had the following needs would be beneficial:

  • Self-Care and Independence
  • Gross and Fine Motor difficulties
  • Emotional Well-being
  • Access to learning, social and play activities

We are looking for someone to motivate, support and encourage the pupil to fully access the curriculum and school life.

This role is dependent on individual pupil funding and therefore is a temporary position and will continue until such time as the funding ceases and/or the child leaves the school if this is earlier.

The successful applicants will need to:

  • Be a team player
  • Inspire and motivate children
  • Have high expectations and excellent classroom practice
  • Have a desire to improve their own practice further
  • Be willing to embrace, support and develop the Christian ethos of our school.
