SEN Teaching Assistant – Fixed term until 31st July 2023
SCP Grade 3 - £21,575 - £21,968 (pro-rata)
11 hours – Monday to Friday mornings
Combe Down Primary School are looking to recruit a SEND Teaching Assistant to support a child in Year 5 with an Education, Health Care Plan. We are looking for a warm, caring individual who can offer an exceptional level of care and foster the child’s independence. Experience of working with children who have had the following needs would be beneficial:
• Dyslexia
• Social and emotional difficulties
• Speech and language difficulties
• Physical and sensory needs.
We are looking for someone to motivate, support and encourage the pupil to fully access the curriculum and school life. The successful applicants will need to:
• Be a team player
• Inspire and motivate children
• Have high expectations and excellent classroom practice
• Have a desire to improve their own practice further.
• Be willing to embrace, support and develop the Christian ethos of our school.

Permanent SMSA (School Meals Supervisory Assistant)
10 hrs per week, term time only – Job shares considered, start date ASAP
SCP grade 1.3 (£20,812 pro rata Per annum)
Combe Down Primary School is looking to recruit an enthusiastic, caring, and reliable person to join our team of lunchtime supervisors. Duties will include supervision of the children whilst eating their lunch and monitoring play outside. You will also be required to help in setting up tables and chairs in the dinner hall and clearing away after the meal.
At Combe Down we encourage positive play, the successful candidate will be keen to support outside play activities to ensure safe and happy lunchtimes for all our pupils.
We have high expectations of children’s attainment and behaviour and are rewarded with delightful children and a strong sense of community.
This position is 10 hours a week Monday – Friday term time only 11.30am-1.30pm.
