Year 6 Residential Visit to Great Wood

18 July 2022 - 21 July 2022 08:30 - 15:30 Great Wood, Kilve Court

We are pleased to confirm that we are able to offer year 6 a residential visit to Great Wood next summer (depending upon Government advice at that time).  Please visit their website for an overview of the centre: https://sseoutdoors.co.uk/centres/the-great-wood-centre/

The trip guarantees a range of adventurous activities which develop team work, provide personal challenges, allow the opportunity to take learning beyond the classroom, whilst of course, having a great deal of fun in the process!

The cost of the trip includes full board, transport, accommodation as well as all activities undertaken during our 4-day stay (with fully qualified instructors) and group insurance cover.  The insurance cover will ensure we are able to give refunds if our school is unable to travel to Great Wood due to Government lockdowns/restrictions at that time.

If you would like your child to go, and we are hoping that everyone will be able to come, please go online to give consent and make your deposit payment (non-returnable except in event of Government restrictions) as soon as possible and no later than the 1st December 2021.  Our preferred method of payment is Pluspay via Parentmail.  If you do not have internet access you may return the slip from the letter together with a cheque made payable to Palladian Academy Trust; please put the slip and cheque into an envelope with your child’s name and ‘Year 6 Residential’ on the front.

We offer the facility to pay in instalments, which will be four further payments due by 16th Feb, 16th March, 16th April and 16th May 2022.

If you experience any difficulty financing the trip please do not hesitate to contact us as we may be able to apply for funding; however any such funding must be applied for as soon as possible.  If you would like us to apply for funding on your behalf please emailsbm@combedown.com

There will be a meeting early next year to provide more information about the trip.

Kindest regards,

The Year 6 team
