Years 5 & 6 visit Bath Children's Literature Festival

Last week, our pupils in Years 5 and 6 went to separate events as part of the Bath Children's Literature Festival. The event, which is amongst the largest of its kind in Britain, is always hugely popular with pupils and the children were thrilled to hear from two very famous authors: Liz Pichon (Year 5) and Ross Welford (Year 6).

Both authors talked at length about how they got to where they are now, overcoming obstacles, to do a job that they love. Year 5 pupils were given a tutorial on how to draw some characters from Liz Pichon's series, 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid', which they thoroughly enjoyed and yielding some very good results!

To top it off, the children got a brand new book each! A fabulous, enriching opportunity for all - we are so lucky to have this event on our doorstep!
