Black History Month

Across the school, we have been celebrating Black History Month in numerous different ways. Many classes took part in an online live lesson from 'Picture News' to launch this year's theme, 'Honouring Our Communities'. This was then followed up by a variety of lessons to examine the theme, combined with our value for the term: Respect.

Classes have examined individuals who have made outstanding contributions to their communities, including activists, authors, artists, musicians and sports people through oracy and reading activities, research and artwork. These activities will continue across the school next week.
